Broken: A Labyrinth RPG Application [Sarah Williams]

Name: Sarah Williams

What have they been doing for the past ten years: After Sarah returned from the Labyrinth she went on to spending a lot of time with Toby. Though her Step Mother was still the type to nag, it seemed at times she was happy that Sarah was more than inclined to babysit whenever she was asked. So by day she continued with her education, her drama practices, and every night before bed, Sarah read Toby stories and acted them out with her props and costumes. Sarah went on to graduate from High School and headed off to college to pursue a career on the stage. Some where between point A & B, Sarah discovered she had a very good knack for helping others, especially kids. It eventually drove Sarah to become a school teacher, who moonlits as the Drama instructor. Even with her career and after school activities, she still makes time to check in on Toby and make sure he's all right.

If anything, her time spent in the Labyrinth has made her a better person.

How do they feel about Jareth: Jareth is a trickster and someone who shouldn't be trusted. However, if it wasn't for Jareth ( and her own stupid mistakes ) Sarah wouldn't have learned some valuable life lessons. In a way, she owes Jareth for giving her a chance to save her brother, and helping her learn that life isn't always fair, but he's still a total creep and she will deal with him if he tries to mess with her or her little brother again.

How do they feel about the Labyrinth now: The state of the Labyrinth now, scares her. It is a darker and more dangerous place than it was before. What frightens Sarah more is the thought of this new Labyrinth hurting the friends she left behind. She's going to be worried until she knows Hoggle, Ludo, and Sir Didymus are all right.

Any Additional Information: Sarah never did tell Toby the truth behind the fairytale story she named, The Labyrinth. The fact that she nearly lost Toby to Jareth, is a source of guilt she never really got over. It will be a personal struggle for her to open up and share this with Toby, and more so ask his forgiveness. She will also be extremely over protective of Toby this time around, and probably go so far to insist he never goes out of her immediate sight. She doesn't want to risk losing him a second time.

In Canon Post:
Sarah could hear crying in the distance as she past a few open columns of the Labyrinth. She paused and looked up in the direction she thought it was coming. Clear in the distance she could see the Castle of the Goblin King in the distance. She frowned with worry, "Toby." She moved with more conviction as the cries continued. "I'm coming Toby."

Sarah continue on her way as fast as she could. It had already been a few hours since she begun and it already felt like she had a good pace going. Right turn, left turn, another right, dead end. Sarah made a face, but turned quickly and went back the way she came. This time she took a left turn, another left turn, before she found herself at a four way intersection. An idea struck her suddenly, and she reached into her pocket and pulled out the only thing she managed to smuggle into the Labyrinth with her, a tube of lipstick.

She smirked with confidence, this was her way of keeping track of what directions she had been. No reason to take the same path twice, she thought. She bent and marked the stone in front of her feet with a red arrow and headed off in that direction. Little did she know that once she was out of site, a very irate Goblin showed up to remove or change her 'graffiti'.

When she finally learned the truth, Sarah threw her lipstick down and swore in a typical fit, "What a horrible place this is. It's not fair!"

In Game Post:
"I want to get a better look around." Sarah said as she stepped in front of Toby and motioned for him to stay put. Just ahead of her a large section of the Labyrinth wall seemed to have been smashed to bits. She avoided one of the larger puddles and brick, and she gave one more look back to Toby before she begun to carefully climb her way towards the top. She was almost to the top when she heard Toby speak.

So you've been here before...?

Sarah felt her fingers grip harder at the question. This had been the question on Toby's lips since they arrived, and it was more than obvious that Sarah knew more about this place than she as letting on. Sarah wasn't even sure if she knew the right way to tell Toby, after all, does one just simply open up and admit to wishing for their younger brother to be kidnapped away by the Goblin King? Sarah sighed to herself, there was no way she could tell Toby. Not yet.
Sarah shifted her weight and pulled herself up to the top of the wall. It wasn't impossible to tell the Labyrinth had changed from the last time. From this height however, the change was emotionally shocking. She stood half bent as she gazed out over the landscape, where once the walls were golden and kept. It seemed like everything was dark and falling apart, even the Castle beyond the Goblin City appeared to be as dead as the rest of the world.
I dunno.

We'll have to find out sooner or later...

Sarah turned her attention back down to Toby and nodded. "Either way, we need to get to the center if we're going to figure out anything. Let's get going." Sarah was careful as she made her way back down to the ground and then motioned to Toby to follow her down the corridor to the left.
